Types of drywall / sheet rock we can install
Moisture-Resistant Drywall: Moisture resistant drywall is commonly used in applications where moisture may be present. Bathrooms, laundry rooms, and near kitchen sinks are all great examples of of typical moisture resistant drywall installations. Although moisture-resistant drywall are not “waterproof”, however, they have special additives and other materials which help expel water and prevent mold from forming.
Fire-resistant Drywall: Common areas for fire-resistant drywall include near fireplaces, chimneys, or in garage applications where welding and other high heat production may take place.
Impact-resistant Drywall: Also known as “abuse-resistant” drywall, this 5/8 thick boards are manufactured to better resistant impacts and high levels of service and abuse. Commons installations areas include children’s play dens, garages, games rooms, gyms and some commercials applications. Any area you might be concerned with a wall puncture you should strongly consider impact-resistant drywall.
